Introduction to the Institute

This course was originally designed by Dr. Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahim, founder and director of Understand Al-Qur'an Academy. The institution is based in India but they have a highly extended network of trained teachers through out India, Saudia Arabia, Bahrain, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dahbi and Pakistan.

    Their mission is to,

"...spread the message of the Quran and Sunnah through the most easy and effective learning methods."
The teachers at the institution have trained others to carry on with the mission. The course books and all the reading material such as presentations, quizes and homeworks etc. comes from the academy its self.
Since its launch in 1998 the academy has been striving do develop methods and related course material, to make it easier for non arabs to understand quran. The basic Quran Course 1 i.e. QC 1 is being taught in around 25 countries and is translated into 20 international languages.
I know two places in twin cities that are offerring this course,

Islamic Community Centre: 4 Garnet Road, Sector H, DHA II, Islamabad, Pakistan

TeachersMr. Amir Sohail, Dr. Fahim Hashmi, Mrs. Anjum Rashid
I took QC-1 with Ma'am Anjum somewhere during 2018. The institute at that time was offering on campus classes. The campus itself is excellent, with air conditioned classrooms and multimedia attachments in every class. I started QC-2 after completing the first course but had to leave for some worldly reason feeling guilty.

Alfalah Manzil Trust: Golra NPF Golra E-11, Islamabad

Teachers: Mr. Arshad Iqbal Malik, Ms. Saira Arshad, Ms. Rabia Saeed.
I got an other chance during 2020 so I took QC-1 with Sir Arshad during the lock down. Alfalah Manzil is offering online classes. That course ended in May 2021 and now I am gearing up to take QC-2 which is starting from 10th July 2021. Ready to redeem my honour! Hopefully will go all the way this time around.

The purpose and the mission remains the same no matter who is teaching the course. My next post will focus on an introduction to the course itself.
